I was born in Portugal and immigrated to Central Canada with my family when I was only a toddler. As the only son of Portuguese immigrants, I grew up in a rough and tumble life, a mixture of prairie Canadiana and Old World values.
I love God, family, and music — in that order.
I’ve always had a passion for music; I played saxophone in a brass band from the age of 14 until the age of 22. I’ve passionately collected music ever since I was a teenager and at one time owned over 400 vinyl records and 300 CD’s.
One night, a lowlife thief decided my collection was worth his time and stole most of my vinyl, and half my CDs, along with my Yamaha speakers, Marantz receiver, and Sony turntable. Luckily, I’ve been able to rebuild my music collection, though my stereo system is no more.
Hence, three years ago, I began experimenting with headphones and other personal music gear.
